Great Upgrade for ALH/AHU/1Z Cars

Adding a lift pump to VE engine cars takes work away from the rotary pump since fuel is provided under low pressure (7.25 PSI rated) to the injection pump whenever the ignition is on. This helps cold starting, makes the engine run smoother at low speeds, and provides more fuel at high load, especially helpful in modified cars. Installation requires custom wiring with a relay and power source. These items are available in the install kit. The pump will fit in the tank of Mk4 and Mk3 cars, although the Mk3 may require some work to make sure the fuel gauge reads accurately.

What our customers say...

My 05 Golf TDI (BEW) was having problems starting. It would normally take a few more revolutions than seemed necessary. This problem occurred for a while. Other symptoms I had was that at idle the RPMs would seem to fluctuate about + - 50rpms. Finally, the engine would not start. This is caused to air getting in the lines on start ups due to the lifter pump not running. It is located under the rear right seat, if you do not hear it whine the first few seconds when your turn your ignition on this means your pump is not running. 99 % of the time it is the pump that has failed. It is an easy replacement, there are tutorials on youtube. This product did its job and now the Golf is running as good as it has in a while. Thanks ID Parts for the product and quick, cheap shipping.

Easy replacement part for my Golf. It would struggle to start, often taking several turns of the starter to get running. Replaced in about an hour (including clean up) and bibidy-bobidy-boo, no more starting issues. Recommend running fuel tank to low level before attempting to replace this part.
