Do they decrease the flexing, yes they do. Is it the most annoying vibrations ever at idle and when leaving from a stop......Unquestionably YES. I will be switching back to new rubber, I've kept them in for almost a year now to see if I'd get used to it.... and I'm long passed over it. The lack of flex actually took out the front bushing, so it's even worse now. If you're looking for less flex, just get new rubber(new mounts). I've driven gasoline cars with solid aluminum mounts that were better than this, poly mounts and diesel just aren't a good mix for a daily driver. Up to you though! I'm over it and figured I'd share since there wasn't much in the VW diesel world stating they'd be great or awful. It's awful. I chose 3 stars because they were great quality, fit and finish were great, they do as advertised! Honest, it would be more like 2.5 stars and that's being generous for how intense the vibrations are. I will say as well, cruising on the highway is tolerable and only notice the vibrations when it starts to grunt up a hill or on accel, like I said, up to you, but heed the warning!

I'm not sure about these inserts yet. They are a lot less springy than the stock so more vibration gets transmitted back into the car's interior. The engine moves a lot less but I'm still contemplating going back to stock.
