Complete 20k service kit for the 1999-2003 Jetta TDI, Golf TDI and Beetle TDI with engine code ALH.

Left side/driver side upgraded control arm complete with ball joint and TT-style solid rear bushings.  

The TT bushings improve steering feel and response, and, in our experience are more durable than the stock bushing that was not solid.  

These complete arms are left-right specific.  This is the left side/driver side.  Passenger/right side available.

Available hardware (checkbox) consists of a front control arm bolt and rear control arm bolt and nut.

Purchased both left and right side, along with polyurethane sway bar and link bushings for an '03 ALH Golf 5spd, just shy of 200k miles. This is the product you want when you 1) don't know if or when the ball joints were ever changed and 2) are sick and tired of the bouncy clunky front end noise that accompanies sloppy, tired bushings. I'll have to get an alignment, for sure, but I expected as much. After confirming that I had no "remaindered" or "extra parts" after install, a test drive confirmed that the road noise, feel, and steering stability is greatly improved. Do yourself a favor and order the bolts while you're at it, you shouldn't re-use your current hardware. OEM ball joint nut was 18mm, these carry a 19mm nut, just an FYI

Control arms purchased for both sides of 2002 VW jetta TDI with 153,000 miles. I also purchased new hardware and sway strut links as well. First time replacement. Parts fit perfectly. Installation was easier on the passenger side. Had to loosen engine mounting bolts on driver's side to raise engine/transmission enough to remove bolt in order to remove existing control arm due to interference with automatic transmission. Total time to replace both lower control arms on my 2002 VW jetta TDI was 2 hours. After installation, the ride was exceptionally smoother.
