This kit includes the three pieces required to reroute the coolant lines that would otherwise go to the EGR cooler, including a new coolant hose, straight fitting for the heater core and a straight barb to replace the 3-way barb for coolant overflow.
EGR coolers commonly fail in a way that allows coolant to enter the exhaust stream, emptying the coolant system. Removing the EGR cooler from the cooling system solves this. Removing coolant from the cooler has no ill effects on the motor.
Not for cars with automatic transmissions (or cars that used to have automatic transmissions.)
