I’ve worked on my own vehicles for 25 years and can count on one hand how many times I’ve damaged a part with a tool. Upon the first test fit, I observed that this tool sits very shallow on the fuel filter housing. Due to the shallow fit and the somewhat awkward location of and reach to the filter location, it wasn’t obvious that the tool did not seat squarely on the housing and I managed to break off one of the ears of the housing. Assuming that the remaining three housing ears are able to handle the stress (which I’m not confident they will), I’ll try to use the tool again, but will have pay special attention to ensure that tool is fully seated. I don’t have 100% confidence in this tool. With that said, the tool does appear to be sturdy and of good material quality. However, I can no longer speak to the ear/slot alignment to be sure that even force is placed on the ears simultaneously. I wish I could leave a better review.
