NEW upgraded design OM642 turbocharger with full billet compressor wheel.
A common cause of OM642 turbochager failure, especially on Class-C RVs is metal fatigue on the compressor wheel. The engine design combined with the extra weight and wind resistance of Class-C configurations results in very high temperatures in the turbocharger for extended periods of time. To deal with this problem this turbocharger is built with a fully billet compressor wheel that is much more durable and does not suffer from metal fatigue. The turbocharger housing is also upgraded with a more durable design and updated VNT mechanism to work with the billet wheel.
This unit is plug and play - no modifcations or changes required. Turbocharger performance is also identical as the turbocharger is physically identical.
Includes port for the EGT probe on engines equipped with EGT sensor. If your vehicle does not use the EGT sensor simply use a 14mm oil drain plug to plug the hole.
Fits all NCV3 Sprinter with the 3.0L V6 and all Mercedes BlueTEC except W166/X166 models.
