This is definitely the tool for the job. A regular sprocket puller isn't gonna cut it, there just isn't enough of a lip to get a regular 3 prong puller to hold anywhere. If the sprocket is on too tight, and the puller is already torqued to the recommended 10 foot pounds, you can try tapping the puller's bolt on the puller with a hammer. If THAT does not work, then you can try to drill a small hole through the back plate, and use a punch in combination with the puller to convince the pulley to come off.
