Returning a Product

You must call to obtain an RMA (returned merchandise authorization) number before making any return. It is not possible to identify a return without an RMA number and items returned without RMA numbers attached will be refused.

Returns for refunds should be delivered to us within 30 days of the original order date, we are unable to process any refunds on orders more than 30 days old. Orders may be returned up to 90 days after original order date for store credit only. Orders over 90 days old cannot be returned.

No returns can be accepted without an RMA number. Any items returned without an RMA that cannot be identified will be refused or discarded and will not be processed.

Please read the following return policy carefully:

  • All refunds will be less a 10% refund processing fee. There are no fees on store credits.
  • All products must be returned in new, unused condition. Products that have been installed and/or used are not returnable and will be refused.
  • All product packaging must be returned without damage. Products whose packaging is missing, damaged or has shipping labels on it are not returnable and will be refused.
  • Do not ship products back in their product box alone. Returns must be properly boxed and padded.
  • Products damaged during return shipping cannot be refunded. The customer is solely responsible for return shipping insurance.
  • Any credit for returned items will be less any shipping, customs fees, or taxes, for outbound and/or return shipping incurred by IDParts.
  • We will deduct all outbound shipping costs from the credit amount on all orders that qualified for free shipping.
  • Electrical items may not be returned unless they are in their original box with security seal intact. If the products original packaging does not include a security seal then the product may not be returned.
  • Special order items may not be returned under any circumstance.
  • Tools CANNOT be returned, including all products from Metalnerd, Ross-Tech and Bentley Publishers. Sorry, there can be no exceptions to this - once the tool leaves our warehouse it cannot be returned.
  • IDParts is not responsible for lost items or return shipping on refused packages.
  • Return shipping cost is the responsibility of the customer.

Damaged Item Process

If you believe a product you purchased from IDParts.com was damaged in shipping please follow these steps:

  • Contact IDParts.com to report the damage immediately.  Damaged reported after 30 days post delivery may not be recoverable.
  • Please keep all packaging and damaged items, do not discard any part of the shipment in case it needs to be returned or inspected.
  • Depending on the damage we may or may not require the damaged items be returned to us. 
  • If returning the item in required, you will be asked to purchase a replacement item which will be refunded when the return is received.
  • Return shipping cost, if required, will be paid by IDParts ONLY for domestic shipments and IS NOT covered for international shipments.

Warranty Claim Process

If you believe a product you purchased from IDParts.com is faulty please contact us to confirm the Warranty eligibility and obtain an RMA. Returns made without an RMA will be refused at delivery. Please read the following Warranty terms:

  • For some products warranty determination will be made by the manfuacturer or distributor. IDParts has no say in the warranty outcome for these products and the determination by the third party is final.
  • Warranty periods vary between manufacturers. Please see the product description or contact us to learn more about the warranty period on a particular product.
  • Products must be returned to IDParts before any warranty determination is made.
  • If a replacement part is needed the customer shall place a new order for the replacement part. If the warranty is approved the replacement part cost will be refunded.
  • Warranty claims will be fulfilled with replacement parts or refunds on replacement orders only.  Warrantied parts are not eligible for refunds of the initial purchase.
  • Products returned to IDParts for warranty determination cannot be recovered regardless of the warranty outcome.
  • Return shipping cost for warranty returns is the responsibility of the customer.

Core Returns & Credits

Core returns for refund must be made within 45 days of the original order date. Store credit can be issued for core returns on orders up to 90 days old. Core returns cannot be accepted on orders older than 90 days.

  • All product cores must be returned in their original box. Refunds will not be accepted on cores that are returned without the original box.
  • All injection pump cores must be returned fully assembled with all components intact. Disassembled cores or cores missing components will not be refunded.
  • Return shipping cost is the responsibility of the customer. If a customer requests a prepaid return label, the cost of the return shipping will be deducted from the final core refund.

Store Credits

Store credit balance can be viewed at any time by going to the My Account screen.  The following policies apply to store credits:

  • Store credits do not expire, nor are there any fees associated with holding store credits over time.
  • Store credits can be redeemed for orders on IDParts.com only and cannot be redeemed on any other website, for cash or other value.
  • Store credits used on an order which is returned can only be returned to a customer account as store credit for future orders and cannot be redeemed against other fees, including core fees or shipping fees.  
  • Store credits used on an order will be returned to a customer account before any refunds are processed.  If the value of the returned items do not exceed the store credits redeemed, only store credit will be provided.  Any remaining refund balance will be subjected to standard refund policy, including return processing fee.
