We strongly recommend replacing all strut and shock mounts when installing a new suspension. Worn front strut mounts can negatively affect alignment, steering handling as well degrade ride quality. Worn rear mounts can cause knocking/rattling noises as the shock is no longer held securely in a worn mount. Available as an option below.

Just installed these on a 05 Passat TDI, 200K. I had used Napa struts and shocks at 100K and they were WAY to stiff for our pot-hole ridden streets. I know some folks like using stiffer, heavy duty springs etc but if you want your car to feel like it did new, I give these A plus.
