The intercooler to manifold hose is held on using metal clip-style fitting with an o-ring seal. Over time, this fitting starts to wear and will crack at the point where it crimped onto the rubber hose or the 'tangs' that hold it in place will wear down and the hose will literally pop out.

Rather than replacing the hose and just extending the problem, this turbo hose adapter gets clamped onto your existing hose. Full billet construction means this adapter will never wear or crack, fixing the problem permanently and saving you money over replacement hoses.
