Faulty seals are the most common cause behind low power, limp mode and check engine light issues on the OM642 engine. This seal kit includes the 4 most common problem seals, covering the turbocharger inlet, outlet and outlet pipe.
Seals included:
- Turbocharger Inlet Seal
- Turbocharger Outlet O-Ring Seal (Green)
- Turbocharger Outlet Pipe to Silencer O-Ring Seal (Black)
There are two types of turbocharger inlet seal, you must select the correct one for your vehicle. We recommend checking your van directly before ordering. We cannot determine which seal you have over the phone.
Turbocharger Inlet Seal Type
- Early Style - used on 2007-2009 Mercedes models. Red color
- Late Style - used on 2010+ Mercedes models AND all new replacement intake pipes. Black Color
Important! New replacement inlet pipes from Mercedes use the new style seal, so some 07-09 Vans may use the late style seal if the turbocharger inlet pipe was ever replaced.
