Oil Pump Hex Shaft
In CBEA engines the oil pump is driven via a hex shaft. This shaft is known to fail as vehicles pass 120k miles, so it is strongly recommended to replace the hex shaft at the same interval as the timing belt. There are two different lengths of shaft. CJAA motors do not use a hex shaft and do not need to purchase this.
