Bilstein TC has long-been the preferred OE-replacement or OEM+ shock for VWs.
This TC suspension is approximately 20% stiffer than stock as it is valved for the heavier V6 motor, and is dimensionally the same, so it will not lower the car (it may be a little higher initially but will settle in).
