Injector installation kit for the inline 6-cylinder OM648 and V6 OM642 engine. Includes:
- 6 injector seals
- 6 hold down bolts
- 6 return line o-rings.
All these items *MUST* be replaced whenever removing and installing injectors.
On the OM648 engine the injector seals on this motor are prone to leaking, causing decrease fuel economy and power, and creating buildup of combustion debris on the top of the valve cover. This is referred to as the "black death". Replacing injector seals and hold down bolts at regular intervals is a easy way to avoid this. We recommending refreshing the seals and bolts every 100,000 miles.
