We now have Koni Special ACTIVE set with springs for lifting the A5 Sportwagen. This set includes standard Sportwagen front struts as well as the slightly longer Tiguan Rear shocks paid with our Sportwagen lift spring set. The Special ACTIVE patented technology provides a firm ride on long bumps and corners for control, and a soft ride on expansion joints and rough roads for comfort.

This spring set combines Sportwagen rear towing springs with Tiguan front springs, resulting in a 1.5 inch front lift and a 2+ inch rear lift (when unloaded).  The higher rate rear springs will also allow you to load up the cargo area of your Sportwagen, or attach a trailer, without having the rear end sag and pair perfectly with the Koni Special ACTIVEs.   

KONI Special ACTIVE is the next generation of premium shock absorbers that offer superior handling without compromise. It is the latest advancement in the KONI product portfolio. Utilizing the most recent generation of KONI’s patented Frequency Selective Damping technology, it controls large body motions and cornering forces but smooths expansion joints and rough roads for improved comfort.

We strongly recommend replacing all strut and shock mounts when installing a new suspension. Worn front strut mounts can negatively affect alignment, steering handling as well degrade ride quality. Worn rear mounts can cause knocking/rattling noises as the shock is no longer held securely in a worn mount. (Available as an option below)
