For all water-cooled VWs that use the 14 mm threaded drain plug. Quality stainless steel construction, CNC machined in USA, High-strength USA-made ALNICO magnet. Copper washers are from Germany. This longer style was developed for the aluminum oil pans but are great for older steel pans too. Kit includes 10 copper seal washers. This covers most models from the mid ‘70s but there are some exceptions:
- Some Audi and '98 & '99 Passats with 1.8T engine that came with a 26 mm plug (sold elsewhere on this page)
- Some late model cars came with a black plastic ¼ turn drain plug and will not apply. These include (Gas) Golf models starting in 2015, (Gas) Audi S3 starting with the certain 2014 models.
- If your car is in this range of exceptions, check your engine before ordering.
