Rebuilt my original half axles using these kits. Worked well, repaint the axle when you have them off for corrosion avoidance.

GKN outer cv joint works fine. The car is good to go.

very good quality machining/hardening, nice rubber boot with an air-tight seal, and the extra bits and bobs make this a nice kit. Hard to speak to endurance until 80k miles later, but from inspection it's great.

The boots are garbage. Do not use them because they will split open after 30-40 thousand kilometres and fling grease everywhere. Within 5 thousand kilometres they had many small cracks and showed signs of iminent splitting, and I changed one out on one side when I was doing some suspension work there anyway, but the other side never got changed and it did indeed split wide open. In comparison, the factory original CV joint boots were still in pristine condition after 460 thousand kilometres. The original boots were made of a harder plastic-like material, while these GKN boots were soft rubber. If your original boots are still in good shape I recommend that you reuse them. Unfortunately I did not keep the original boots so I had to purchase a replacement set of boots from a local parts store. The CV joint itself is fine, no complaints there. Just don't use the included boot.
