This tool is required for installing the rear main crank seal on the BRM, CBEA/CJAA, and CKRA TDI engine used in North America in the MK5 chassis from mid-2005 to late 2014.

On some vehicle the face of the tool by the sensor needs to be built up slightly with tape to provide the correct depth for a proper seating.
