New IDParts single-mass flywheel and clutch conversion kit for all 5-Speed TDI models.

We partnered with a global leader in clutch manufacturing to find a clutch that offered very a high vibration dampening "quiet" style clutch disk that has springs built into the clutch disk hub. This limits the amount of transmission "rattle" when in neutral.  Pedal feel is very linear and lighter than stock.

This clutch kit includes a stock-weight, 22lb flywheel.  New throwout bearing included. 

This clutch kit is rated for stock or mild tuned TDIs.

The kit includes:

  • Single Mass Flywheel (21 lbs.)
  • Clutch disc
  • Pressure Plate
  • Throwout bearing

Also includes the following hardware:

  • N101 010 01 Pressure plate bolts
  • N905 398 01 Flywheel bolts

I have about 25,000 miles on this exact kit in my 2003 Wagon. Excellent clutch. I have not perceived any rattle in neutral and the clutch has a really nice even action to it. I recently replaced my engine and just swapped this over. No complaints at all.

Great clutch. I have been driving on this clutch for almost a year as part of the IDParts beta testing program on my 2000 Golf. I have Sachs clutches in my other TDIs. All I can say is that I think this clutch drives better than the Sachs versions.
