The Geba pump installed without issues. It replaced the original equipment shrouded impeller pump at 35K miles as this car was an early production and the shroud would repeatedly stick closed. The seal on the original pump appears to be a regular lip seal and inferior to the Geba pump\'s ceramic seal. I would not put back the shrouded pump design as any benefit from rapid heating on extending particulate filter life comes with the risk of repeated uneven and/or overheating heating of the castings.

Install went well. Solid construction! All metal as opposed to the original water pump impeller that was plastic. It\'s not variable like the original CVCA water pump, however just means easier system bleeding and slightly slower warm up. Only knocking one point since it does not come with new water pump bolts. New Water pump bolts are required to be replaced as part of a Water pump replacement on the CVCA engine since they are TTY.
